Nylon Brushes Nylon
brushes are available in wide range of bright, flat, round and fan head
shapes. Nylon brush is extremely durable, however they can not hold
very much liquid, as they are stiff. Good quality nylon brush is ideally
used with thinned down color for blending, glazing, or fine detail work.
Perfect for acrylics, these brushes may also be utilized with excellent
results in combination with oils and alkyds.Nylon brush can be used for oil-based paints, but they are also recommended for latex or water soluble paints. Nylon bristle brushes, however, should never be used with shellac, lacquer, contact cement, or paint remover. These materials may soften or dissolve the nylon bristles. These brushes do not give a very even coating and they can easily melt when in contact with heated surfaces.
